What we check on every business
Four core checks, plus identity, address, phone and website. Each record keeps what public records show apart from what the business supplied.
- State licenseActive on the state licensing board's public lookup.
- Business registrationAn active company on the state business registry.
- Permit historyPermits pulled under the license, from county records.
- InsuranceA certificate the business sent, with its dates checked. Labelled as supplied by the business.
Verification is never for sale. Businesses cannot pay to be checked, to pass, to be recommended or to have a result removed. Read the full method.
