## How claiming works

**Find your record** Most licensed businesses in our cities are already listed. If yours is not, we create it and run every check.

**Show us you run the business** We call the phone number on your record with a code, or email an address at your website's domain.

3.

**Check your details** Confirm your address, services and the jobs you do. Ask your insurance agent to send us your certificate directly.

4.

**Keep it current** We remind you 30 days before your license or insurance needs re-checking, so your record does not lapse by accident.

## Questions from business owners

Do I have to pay for my record to be checked?

No. Every business gets the same license, registration, permit and insurance checks at no cost, whether or not it claims its record or buys anything.

How do I send my insurance certificate?

Ask your agent to email the certificate to us, or upload it after you claim. Your record will show it as a document supplied by the business, with its end date.

What if a public record about my business is wrong?

Our record shows what the register said on the check date. Fix it with the register first, then ask us for a re-check; we update the record and log the change.

Can I have my record removed?

Records of active businesses stay, because they are built from public records. You can correct details at any time, and a closed business is marked as closed.
